The GPIO box provides general purpose input and output functions fully integrated into the STARflex over an RS-485 connection. There are 8 input and 8 output ports altogether and it is expandable to multiple GPIO boxes by daisy chaining over the RS-485 connection. All ports offer dry contact relay capability and 24 volts DC to power any number of devices including IR sensors, radar sensors, lamps, switches, and other devices.
